This gorgeous mountain is named Tupopdan by the locals or Passu Cathedral for it’s shape, towering at about 6000m. It’s the most prominent and eye-catching object as you arrived in Passu, which is another village north of Hunza and south of Khunjerab Pass (border with China). I’ve never seen any mountain like this and it stunned me at first sight.
There wasn’t much in Passu to do except a few good walks across the suspension bridges and treks to the glacier. There was a good place to eat called Glacier Breeze Restaurant which is just at the foot of the Passu Glacier, taking the advantage of the cooling breeze from the icy river. It serves really good food, I had an apricot meal (apricot chicken and juice) which was delicious!
